How we make money

The short version

SmartPiggy is a free, independent guide to UK money-making opportunities. When you click a link on our site and go on to open an account or claim an offer, some providers pay us a referral fee. That fee never comes out of your reward — you get the exact same bonus you'd get by going direct.

Referral fees keep our reviews free to read. They do not change the SmartPiggy Score, they do not decide who gets listed, and they do not move any offer up or down the page.

How to spot a paid link

Every claim button, provider link and offer card on SmartPiggy can be a paid link. We treat them all the same way: the destination is the provider you signed up to see, and we disclose the relationship here rather than crowding every button with the word 'ad'.

If a listing isn't a paid partnership — which happens when a provider doesn't run a referral programme — we still include it if it belongs in our ranking. The score is the same either way.

What we refuse

We turn down paid placement, sponsored top-of-page spots, and pay-to-boost-your-score deals. If a provider offers to lift their score in exchange for a bigger commission, we say no and we say so.

We also refuse offers that we don't believe our members should take — high-risk credit, gambling, unregulated crypto and anything that looks like it might not pay out.

Questions or complaints

If you think an offer on the site is misleading, or you claimed a reward and it didn't track, tell us on our contact page. We'll investigate, update the listing and — if we've made a mistake — publish a correction.
